Cardboard is cheap.
Your Saturday isn't.

We'll be straight with you: boxes are the cheaper line item. What they cost you is the store run, the assembly, the tape, and the hour you spend flattening it all afterward. Here's the same one-bedroom move both ways.

Cardboard figures are typical Boston-area retail estimates for a one-bedroom move, not a quote — your actual cost depends on where you shop and how much you're moving. The honest summary: bins run about $25 more than boxes and save you roughly three hours of work, a store run, and a pile of cardboard you have to deal with. Full bin pricing, including delivery zones, is listed below.

The whole process

Three steps.
You do one.

We handle both ends. You just pack and move.

01 We deliver

Bins at your door

Pick your date and package. We drop off clean, stacked bins with their lids and reusable labels, right at your door. Nothing to assemble, nothing to tape.

02 You move

Pack, stack, go

Lids snap shut, bins stack square and stay put in a truck or trunk. Same size every time, so nothing gets crushed and nothing wastes space.

03 We collect

We take them back

Unpack at your own pace, then we swing by and pick them up. No breaking anything down, no hauling cardboard to the curb, no disposal.

Who rents bins from us

Not just apartments.

If you're putting things in boxes, you can put them in ours instead — and we'll come take them back afterward. We deliver across Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Newton, Quincy, Medford and the surrounding towns.

01

Homeowners

Moving across town or out to the suburbs. Bins get dropped a few days early so you can pack a room at a time instead of losing a weekend to it.

02

Renters & apartments

Lease turnover, roommate changes, or a September 1 scramble. Bins stack square in a truck, so you fit more per trip and make fewer of them.

03

Downsizing & estates

Sorting a parent's house or moving into a smaller place. Rigid bins with lids are far easier to sort, label, stack and revisit than a pile of taped boxes.

04

Renovations

Clearing a kitchen or a whole floor before the contractor starts. Stack the bins in another room, hand them back when the work's finished.

05

Offices & small business

Relocations, file moves, and clear-outs. Bins are numbered and labeled, so desks arrive where they're supposed to. Weekend and after-hours delivery available.

06

Realtors & stagers

Depersonalizing a listing before photos, or clearing a staged home after closing. Ask us about standing arrangements if you turn over homes regularly.

07

Property managers

Unit turnovers and tenant cleanouts on a schedule. Recurring drop-offs across multiple buildings, one invoice.

08

Moving companies

Offer bins to your own customers without buying and warehousing inventory. We deliver and collect on your dates — talk to us about trade rates.

09

Students & families

Dorm and off-campus move-out across every Boston campus. Walk-ups are no problem, and we already know most of these buildings.

Why bins win

Better on every
single axis.

◧

Nothing to build

Snap-on recessed lids. Drop it on, press the corners, done. No taping a bottom and hoping.

⬒

Won't blow out

Reinforced polypropylene walls and base. Books and kitchen gear don't punch through the bottom.

▤

Stack four high

The recessed lid locks the bin above it. Same footprint every time, so the truck loads tight and you make fewer trips.

◇

Weatherproof

Boston rain doesn't turn a plastic bin into a soggy bag with no bottom. Matters more than you'd think on a March move.

⌗

Padlock holes

Built-in lock tabs and tie-down channels. Useful if bins are sitting in a hallway or a truck overnight.

♺

Zero waste

Every bin is cleaned and sent back out. Recycled polypropylene, made in the USA, and nothing ends up flattened on your sidewalk.

Both services · One company

Gap between
your leases?

Most people in that spot end up juggling a moving company, a storage facility and a truck rental — three vendors, three sets of dates, and a day of driving between them. We do both halves ourselves. Pack into our bins, we take them to our facility and hold them, then deliver everything to your new place when you're ready. Your things get handled once and stay in the same containers the whole way.

Boston moving day

Everyone moves
on the same day.

Boston turns over a huge share of its leases on September 1st. Trucks are booked, streets are blocked, and every store in the city is out of boxes by the last week of August.

Bins get reserved on a first-come basis for that week. If you're moving Sept 1, lock your date early — we schedule delivery around the rush, not into it.

Questions

Good to know.

What exactly am I paying for?

Two things, both listed above: the bin package for one week, and a flat delivery-and-pickup fee based on your zone. A 1-bedroom in Zone A is $105 + $39 = $144 total. A dolly is $20 if you want one, and extra weeks are 40% of your package price. That's the whole price list — no fuel surcharge, no per-flight fee, no minimum we don't tell you about.

How big are the bins?

27 gallons — 30" long, 20" wide, 15" tall, about 8 lbs empty. Slightly larger than a medium moving box, with a recessed snap-on lid so they stack four high without sliding. Heavy-duty recycled polypropylene with reinforced walls, built-in handles, padlock tabs and tie-down channels.

Are the lids attached?

No — the lids are separate and snap on. Straight answer, because some rental companies use hinged-lid crates and we'd rather you know before we show up. In practice it means one extra second per bin and a lid that seals better and stacks flatter than a hinged one.

How much can I put in one?

They're rated well beyond what you'll pack, but 27 gallons of books is heavier than you want to carry down three flights. Rule of thumb: heavy things (books, dishes, tools) fill a bin about halfway, light things (clothes, linens, bedding) fill it to the lid. Pack heavy bins bottom-of-the-stack.

How clean are the bins?

Every bin is wiped down and inspected between rentals. They come to you stacked and ready to pack — if one shows up in rough shape, tell us and we'll swap it.

What if I need them longer than a week?

Just text us before your pickup date and we'll extend. Most people finish unpacking in a few days, but there's no penalty for needing more time — we'd rather you keep them than rush.

How many bins do I actually need?

Rough rule: a studio runs about 20, a one-bedroom about 30, a two-bedroom about 45. Books and kitchens eat bins faster than closets do. If you're between sizes, take the bigger package — unused bins go back at no charge.

Do you deliver to walk-ups?

Yes. Tell us the floor and whether there's an elevator when you book so we plan enough time. Third-floor Allston walk-ups are a normal Tuesday for us.

What can't go in a bin?

No liquids, no perishables, nothing hazardous or flammable. Anything that would ruin the next person's move basically. TVs and lamps are better moved loose than forced into a bin.

Which neighborhoods do you cover?

We're based in South Boston and run out from there. Zone A ($39) covers Southie, Seaport, Downtown, South End, Back Bay, Fenway, Dorchester, JP, Charlestown, East Boston, Cambridge, Somerville and Brookline. Zone B ($69) covers Allston, Brighton, Quincy, Medford, Malden, Everett, Chelsea, Revere, Watertown, Newton, Arlington and Milton. Anywhere else, text us the address and we'll quote it straight or tell you it's not worth it.

Do I get a dolly?

Only if you rent one — it's $20 for the week, one per order. We don't bundle it into the package price because plenty of people moving out of a ground-floor place don't need one, and we'd rather not charge everyone for it.

Need somewhere to put it instead of moving it? We also run door-to-door storage — we pick up, hold everything in a climate-controlled facility, and deliver it back when you want it. Same company, same phone number.
